SIVAT Water Solutions prepares and reviews submittals, shop drawings and coordination drawings for aquatic life support equipment in the format the engineer of record requires, and answers technical questions during design, bidding and construction.
SIVAT provides equipment selection and constructability support. SIVAT does not provide licensed professional engineering services and is not the engineer of record.
Submittals
We provide submittals for all equipment we supply, in the format the engineer requires. We work with the engineer to confirm the equipment meets the specification.
We understand the information engineers typically require and organize submittals to support an efficient review, minimize avoidable questions, and reduce the risk of resubmittal.
That matters more than it may sound. A rejected or incomplete submittal can cost valuable time, especially on specialty equipment that may be unfamiliar to parts of the project team.
What this protects
On aquatic projects, the equipment submittal package may be the first detailed interaction between the engineer and a contractor that is new to this type of system. A weak first submittal can lead to additional scrutiny, slower approvals, and more RFIs.
A clear, complete submittal helps establish confidence early.
Common questions
Who prepares submittals for aquarium life support equipment?
SIVAT prepares the equipment submittals for the packages it supplies, in the format and section structure the engineer of record requires, including product data, performance curves, materials of construction, wiring and dimensional drawings. We also review submittals prepared by others against the specification.
What is the difference between a shop drawing and a coordination drawing?
A shop drawing shows how a specific piece of equipment or assembly will be fabricated, with dimensions, connections and materials. A coordination drawing shows how the equipment, piping, electrical and structure fit together in the room and is typically prepared by the contractor. SIVAT provides shop drawings only for equipment we supply when a pre-fabrication drawing is required for engineer review and approval.
Can SIVAT answer technical questions during design?
Yes. Engineers, architects and owners contact us during design for equipment selection, sizing input, material compatibility with seawater and ozone, footprint and access requirements, and budget pricing. SIVAT does not provide licensed engineering services and is not the engineer of record.
